This is the K4POZ ID Timer / Reminder and Alarm
The ID Reminder helps you stay within the rules and keeps you from forgetting to ID by sounding an alarm and lighting a light shortly before the ten minutes has expired. The ID Reminder comes set up for an interval of 9 minutes and 56 seconds so you wont go over 10 minutes as required The ID Reminder uses a standard 9 Volt battery. A long lasting Energizer battery is included. Since the ID Reminder has very low current drain, the battery will last a very long time, typically 1 to 2 years. The ID Reminder is extremely simple to operate. Once you have identified your station, simply select the audible or visual alarm, press the push button and the ID Reminder will do the rest. The ID Reminder automatically resets itself once it alarms so you do NOT have to reset the timer each time it goes off. The ID Reminder has two methods of alerting you that it is time to ID. First there is the Buzzer. The Buzzer was carefully chosen over electronic sounders so there will be absolutely NO confusion about whether the timer went off or you were hearing a carrier coming from your radio. Second, a light is lit during the alarm period to visually alert you that it is time to identify. A toggle switch is provided which has three positions. The center position is OFF. Toggled down and you get the Buzzer AND the Light alarm. Toggled up and you get the Light ONLY. At the alarm time the Buzzer sounds for about two seconds and then the ID Reminder resets itself for the next ID time. Just syncronize the ID time when you identify by pushing the push button switch and forget it. NO Resetting every 10 minutes like most other timers.
